CP Parquet for the Hotel La Rosina

  |   By  |  0 Comments

Today, Hotel La Rosina, which overlooks the magnificent medieval castle of Marostica, offers its guests a new way of experiencing the surrounding natural landscape, with a focus on well-being and comfort.
The purpose of the redevelopment project, by architect Ricardo Lunardon, was to breathe new life into this historic building, which is also a symbol of the city.
In fact, this renovation is part of a more extensive project linked to the 100th anniversary of the hotel’s restaurant, which has been operating since its opening in 1917. It was therefore a complex operation, aimed at offering tourists higher quality services while preserving the spirit and history of this very iconic place in Marostica.

First of all, it was essential to give this accommodation facility a new identity by choosing sophisticated materials such as the Antico Asolo 3 Strati boards, transparent elements and creating a large opening with a stunning view in order to ensure plenty of light, as well as a welcoming and homely atmosphere for guests.

The interior now boasts an even deeper connection with nature as the rooms have been embellished with CP Parquet Oak wood flooring. The natural varnishing and the Nodoso finish, featuring knots and grouted splits, enhance the authenticity, uniqueness and texture of this natural covering material. The light brushing brings out the wood grain even more, which plays with the natural light filtering through the large glass windows, creating attractive light and dark contrasts. The same type of wood was also used for the headboards of the beds, the wainscotting and the doors, as well as in the bathrooms, which also have wooden floors to create spatial continuity between the bathroom, the room and the wonderful scenery outside.

The charm of parquet suspended over Cantine Nervi

  |   By  |  0 Comments

Entering Cantine Nervi’s new site in the heart of the Langhe is a unique experience in the name of wine and design.
The project was curated by architect Gian Carlo Primatesta to add a modern building for welcoming guests, to house offices and production onto the historical Cantina Nervi – the oldest Gattinara Docg winery.

It was inspired by the surprising architectural creations of engineer Pier Luigi Nervi, famous in the ‘50s and ’60s for his extraordinary grid structures.

Walking on the splendid CP Parquet oak floors you enter a spectacular tasting room, suspended in the air above the winemaking area, and covered by a majestic wooden barrel roof composed of a single bay with a span of 23 metres. This is the dream of every wine lover: to taste the great expressions of Nebbiolo and at the same time see how these exceptional wines are made thanks to the glass walls of the room, offering a thrilling 360° view of the area below. The floor is made with natural wood Antico Asolo 3 strati boards and harmoniously integrates with all of the other elements. In fact, in this environment the various materials merge with each other, finding the perfect synthesis: the metal of the load bearing structures, the wood of the roofs and parquets, the transparencies of glass.

To get to the tasting area one goes up a scenographic staircase of lithe lines. CP Parquet has custom-built the steps for this work of design, using the same oak wood that was used for the suspended room. The steps climb around the circular metal structure, creating a very dynamic effect that inspires suspense and curiosity in the visitor.

The oak parquets were also installed in the hall, in the offices and in the bathrooms, built to measure with wooden cladding also on the walls and white marble inserts for the wash basin counters. Very interesting, in the various rooms of the wine cellar is the changing interaction created between the natural light, that filters in from the broad windows on every side of the building, and the floors. The rays of sunlight reach the shades of colour, the knots, the veins, the lines of the wooden surfaces differently over the course of the day, enhancing unique details and interesting features. The parquet boards are finished with a rustic effect and light brushing that brings out the natural veins of the wood, underlining the materiality and uniqueness of the surface.

In addition to the quality of the natural wood floors, CP Parquet was also chosen for the special shade of the oak variety, that goes perfectly with the colour of the barrels.
At Cantina Nervi, the wine is aged for many long years in oak barriques. Through the choice of materials and colours, the architectural project intends to highlight the value of the cellar, creating a visual common thread in every room. The fine wood variety, chosen for the parquets, comes from responsibly farmed forests that are managed sustainably to guarantee the balance and regeneration of the ecosystem. They are processed in Italy according to the utmost respect of the fine raw material and health, using water-based paints, glues with very low VOC emissions and finishes carried out by hand by master CP Parquet craftsmen.

CP Parquet for a never-before-seen working habitat

  |   By  |  0 Comments

Now, like never before, we are rediscovering the importance of feeling well and comfortable in the environments we inhabit.

This need is starting to manifest not just in the way we furnish the rooms of our homes, but also in the design of working spaces, where we spend increasingly significant amounts of time.

The Architects of Blocco18, Marco Grigoletti and Simone Salvaro, used this new way we experience spaces as the basis for designing the interior of a notary’s office in the region of Verona.

Warmth, hospitality and functionality were the core values around which this never-before-seen working habitat was built. The way the spaces, furnished like modern living rooms, were set up and the choice of natural materials that are a pleasure to look at and touch, such as wooden furniture and the Oak CP Parquet floor, were the elements that most contributed to conveying the idea of “home”.

In fact, choosing parquet to clad surfaces brings warmth and a sense of well-being, not just to the rooms of the home but also to working spaces, imparting a sense of peace and safety and helping to make the work environment a space where we are happy to spend our time.

With “INTERIOR-DOC” at the 78th Venice International Film Festival

CP Parquet with “INTERIOR-DOC” at the 78th Venice International Film Festival

The “INTERIOR-DOC” project we participated in alongside other top Made in Italy companies, was chosen by the Treviso Film Commission and presented last week in the Veneto Region at the Hotel Excelsior, on the occasion of the 78th Venice International Film Festival.

The project is a docu-film that explores the various emotional, relational and practical aspects of a family (and the starring family in this case is that of the architect Carla Palù) struggling with the renovation of their home. From the concerns and various family needs, which also involve the two young children of the project’s couple-client, to the role of architects and psychologists who jointly take care of the family during this delicate moment of their life, up to the meeting with some local manufacturers, all leaders in their sector and all linked by a shared vision of living that transcends the functionality of furnishing components.
A documentary that immerses itself in the Veneto region while depicting the entrepreneurial spirit that animates this land, the passion for its work, the creativity of its entrepreneurs and the challenges they have faced and overcome during the Covid pandemic, developing new visions of living.
The narrative focuses on that je-ne-sais-quoi that makes Italian design the reference point for the entire international sector, that vision that precedes product creation and that emerges from the background of companies with a deep-rooted and layered history, with an international market. The changing family size, the awareness of new needs linked to an evolving society and a new concept of home and liquid spaces that are transformed inside and out.

We at CP Parquet also wish to be advocates and supporters of this architecture of listening, the heart of a design where the person is at the centre of any choice and decision. Each family member, with their needs and distinctness, in fact deserves adequate recognition within the project.

We therefore wish to congratulate CÙ Design for the success this original project is achieving! Click here instead for the teaser of the docu-film!

CP Parquet for “INTERIOR-DOC” project

  |   By  |  0 Comments

Gianni Miatello, CP Parquet Sales Manager and Carla Palù, Owner of CÙ Design and protagonist of the project "Interior-Doc".

A new important project is coming to life and CP Parquet is extremely proud to be part of it together with other Made in Italy excellences such as Ayuppie, Caccaro, Cesar Kitchens, Macrolux, Nidi, Oikos, Pratic, Rexa Design and Varaschin.

“Interior-Doc” is a project that, told through a docu-film, illustrates the adventure of a family struggling with a restructuring characterized by the “Interior-D” approach. This innovative “way of projecting” provides architects with the support of figures specialized in psychology, in order to study the client, his needs and thus give life to spaces that center the people who live there and their well-being.
This project therefore promotes “the architecture of listening”, the same architecture and philosophy in which CP Parquet believes, and for which it works daily, through a production that seeks the connection between the material and the end user.

The docu-film is already in production and will be presented in the coming months during three important cultural and trade fairs, respectively in Venice, Milan and Los Angeles. We keep you posted! In the meantime we would thank Carla Palù (Owner of CÙ Design and protagonist of the project “Interior-Doc”) for this precious opportunity.

Three new lives for an old workshop in Milan

  |   By  |  0 Comments

Three elegant lofts were built through the regeneration of a former workshop in via Orti in Milan, following its complete renovation by Studio Archventil.
The transformation of this space, which still had a lot to say, brought new life to spaces laden with value and character, designed down to the finest detail to give a voice to the historical aspect of the location and nourish it with a new personality that represented the needs of the future owners.

The fundamental requirement to guarantee completeness and the right balance to each of the three apartments, was the careful design and optimisation of the spaces. In fact, in the three projects, function and aesthetics are expressed through refined solutions that differ by area and character.

Loft A is 60 m2, and is the most elegant of the three: simple shapes house contemporary elements combined with vintage and modern-antique furnishing accessories. Loft B, arranged in 44 m2, is the smallest of the three, but conveys an energetic and bold character through its eclectic decor with a mainly retro touch. Loft C, lastly, designed in 86 m2, the largest and most airy of the three homes, is a smart home for a family with two children, where every corner is designed for alone or together time, comfortably at any time.

The three projects share very simple and essential volumes: the oak wood floor, structural elements in white painted wood or black painted metal, in addition to the large windows that make it possible to maintain a connection with the surrounding nature and get more light.

Once again, the choice to cover the surfaces with a CP Parquet floor was based on the desire to make the rooms more seductive to the eye and more welcoming to the heart, making them “home” for everyone.
