From home and wood workshop to exhibition space.
Located along the Fondamenta delle Zattere, bordering the Church of the Visitation, and overlooking on the island of Giudecca, Palazzo Cavanis is a 16th century building used today as a residential unit and as renowned exhibition space.
Its privileged position in the Dorsoduro district, artistic and cultural heart of Venice, makes it one of the main meeting points for the most prestigious national and international events, such as the Biennale di Venezia. In 2019 in fact, the palace opened its doors to welcome artists and visitors of a collateral exhibition of 58° Esposizione Internazionale d’Arte.
The building, in its structure and decoration, still bears traces of what are some of the characteristic elements of the Venetian palaces of the 16th century and the following two centuries, in which he has lived through various transformations up to his present conformation. The building was in fact in principle used not only as a dwelling but also as a wood workshop, because of its position along the Fondamenta delle Zattere, known at the time as the place of the city destined to the arrival of the loads of material from the mountains, in particular wood.
It is precisely in light of this that CP Parquet floors have found space inside the building.
The rooms of the building used as exhibition spaces in fact, have been furnished by the Collection Antico Asolo 2 Layers, in the model Versailles, European Oak Rustic. To give the idea of antiquity and historicity that still dominate the palace, the floors have also been customized in the finish: Millenium worked, hand planed, stained and varnished Miele.
The choice of the Quadrotte Collection reveals the desire for a return to the past when this type of wooden floor was used to furnish the noble residences. Beautifully reinterpreted in a contemporary way, the Quadrotte are beautifully combined with the timeless charm of such a historic setting.
We thank Sossan Srl floors and walls for following and managing the works with great enthusiasm and professionalism.

Last Thursday, November 21st, we had the chance to meet a large group of registered architects from Trapani, to whom our Sales Manager Gianni Miatello presented the traditional, yet increasingly technological and innovative production processes, which give birth to our wooden flooring. The event, which was organized with great enthusiasm and professionalism by Cering Design in Marsala and took place in the local Fina Cellars, has enjoyed a great success thanks to the participation of no less than 54 architects interested to know about the technical features of our product and all its application possibilities. Not only was the issue regarding the realization of flooring through parquet discussed, but so was its use to create new constructive solutions thanks to CP Lab Design.
Our master craftsman Elio dal Broi did not miss the chance to participate to the event and entertain the participants with an artistic demonstration, proof of the traditional processes that still guide our work to this very day.
Lastly, we would like to thank the Fina Cellars for wholeheartedly welcoming us and providing us with its unique spaces and breathtaking views.
THE PARQUET: ITALIAN PASSION AND EMOTION, STAGES OF THE PRODUCTIVE CHAIN of an ancient art, having its production center in the heart of the Treviso territory. It is for the sole purpose of talking about such art that our Sales Manager Gianni Miatello and the master craftsman Elio Dal Broi have visited Teramo on Thursday October 17th.
In fact, thanks to the collaboration with Domostile, it was possible to organize a training seminar addressed to the local Architects and Designers, who did not hesitate to actively respond to our proposal.
It was precisely in the capacity of spokesman for an art worth narrating that we presented ourselves to them. We did it first through an introduction speech at first, and then proceeding, in a more practical and artistic way, with the intervention of the master craftsman Elio Dal Broi, who engaged in a demonstration of wood staining.
Happy to have had the chance to bring our passion and emotion also in the Abruzzo region, we would like to thank Domostile for arranging the meeting, and the numerous architects who actively took part to it.
CP Parquet and Monti Legnami for the ECO-HOTEL AU CHARMANT PETIT LAC
The exclusive CP Parquet wooden floors are there to welcome guests and visitors of the magnificent Au Charmant Petit Lac Eco-Hotel Spa & Park, in the center of Champoluc, Valle d’Aosta. In fact, 600 sqm of Antico Asolo 3-Layer Maxi Classic parquet in Rustic Austrian Larch were laid on the common areas of the Hotel. The grain texture of the wood emerging from the light shade of the boards can fully restore the authentic beauty of nature surrounding the structure. For the rooms and suites, instead, Anticolo Asolo 3-Layer ‘500 in European Oak and Antico Asolo 3-Layer ‘500 Onda in European Elm were favored. The massive format of the boards combined with the delicate pink shades of Elm make the wooden parquet even more seductive and create really romantic environments.
Not only parquet, but also staircases and Monti Legnami furnishing by CP Lab Design, which gave life to an intimate and relaxing environment, cuddled by the Val D’Ayas natural scenario.
Every detail was played to perfection. It was thus a winning collaboration, both for the final result which lead to the realization of a real masterpiece, and for the environment. The hotel, in fact, has been built, in all its details, in full respect of Nature: what better partner than Monti Legnami and CP Parquet then?
PARQUET: CRAFTSMANSHIP, TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATIVE DESIGN, this is the topic that the formative seminar addressed to the architects and designers enrolled in the Como register highlighted. It was organized by Materia 2.0 in collaboration with CP Parquet last Thursday, October 19th.
The appointment has revealed to be a success, collecting the interest of over 35 professionals willing to get involved in order to discover the CP Parquet reality and products from up-close.
Following the introduction conducted by the organizer Silvia Spreafico, the meeting reached its heart through the speech by our Sales Manager Gianni Miatello, who explained the applications and technical characteristic of wood, fine material wisely crafted thanks to the craftsmen’s mastery and to the innovative production processes which CP Parquet conducts and checks within its establishment.
After a parenthesis about the CP Parquet certifications and the importance of sustainable, environmentally friendly production, the presentation was finally directed towards CP Lab Design and, therefore, towards the management of the 5mm top layer that we utilize for our prefinite parquets, as well as for interior solutions and furnishing design. The goal was to make designer discover the quality and nature of CP Parquet products, but mostly the possibilities that the company allows for architects and designers.
Lastly, the meeting ended with a practical demonstration of the art of wood antiquing through the use of natural powders, by the hands of the master craftsman Elio Dal Broi.
We would like to thank Fabio Pecora and Silvia Spreafico from Materia 2.0 for organizing the meeting, and also the numerous architects who actively took part to it.
Ever more natural and green. CP Parquet flooring is now produced in a more eco sustainable way, not only by using renewable raw materials like the valuable wood species sourced from certified forests, but also by harnessing positive energy from the sun to generate electricity without polluting. Our company’s production lines are sustainable and powered by a large photovoltaic system installed on our factory roof. This is a continuation of our commitment against climate change, to safeguard nature and create a healthier environment in which to live.
1134 photovoltaic modules have been installed on the roof of CP Parquet’s facilities at Pieve del Grappa, providing total power of 368 kW, with which we can generate over 400,000 kWh a year of clean, renewable energy. We have paid special attention to positioning the panels so that the different surfaces available are used in the best way possible in order to optimise operation and maximise production. Furthermore, by adopting power optimisers that control the inclination and orientation of the modules we have been able to improve efficiency and output. The electricity produced by the system is used directly in the factory, providing over 20% of the company’s energy needs.
This photovoltaic system is a new addition to the initiatives implemented by CP Parquet to increase efficiency, reduce waste and re-use production rejects. For many years the company has been using production residue such as wood shavings and sawdust to heat its premises and power its driers and paint shop. Sawdust is also made into pellets for household heating. CP Parquet aims to push even further ahead, finding new, advanced renewable energy sources and environmentally friendly systems for the production of wood flooring in harmony with nature.
